Terms of Use
Effective Date: September 10, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to tampatherapy.com and the webpages, content, forms, and features available through the website (collectively, the “Website”). The Website is owned and operated by Tampa Therapy Group, LLC (“Tampa Therapy,” “Tampa Therapy Group,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
Please read these Terms carefully. By accessing or using the Website after being provided notice of these Terms, you acknowledge and agree to them. If you do not agree, please discontinue your use of the Website.
1. Website Information Is Not Therapy or Medical Advice
The Website provides general information about Tampa Therapy, our clinicians, our services, and mental-health-related topics. Website content is provided for educational and informational purposes only. It is not psychotherapy, psychological treatment, medical advice, diagnosis, crisis intervention, or a substitute for care from a qualified professional who has evaluated your individual circumstances.
Do not disregard professional advice or delay seeking care because of information you read on this Website. Decisions concerning your health or treatment should be made in consultation with an appropriately qualified professional.
2. No Therapist-Client Relationship
Accessing the Website, reading its content, submitting a form, sending an email, calling or texting Tampa Therapy, joining an email or interest list, or requesting an appointment does not create a therapist-client, psychologist-patient, doctor-patient, fiduciary, or other professional relationship.
A therapist-client relationship is established only after Tampa Therapy has agreed to provide services, an appropriate clinician has accepted the individual as a client, and all required intake and consent documentation has been completed. Tampa Therapy is not obligated to accept any person as a client, and the availability of a clinician, service, appointment time, or location is not guaranteed.
If you become a client, your care will be governed by separate documents, including applicable informed-consent, practice-policy, financial-policy, telehealth, and privacy documents. If these Terms conflict with a signed clinical agreement concerning professional services, the signed clinical agreement will control with respect to those services.
3. Not for Emergencies
The Website, its contact forms, email addresses, telephone numbers, and text-message channels are not monitored continuously and must not be used for emergencies or urgent clinical needs.
If you are in immediate danger, believe you may harm yourself or someone else, or are experiencing a medical or psychiatric emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. In the United States, you may also call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. Tampa Therapy does not provide crisis-response services through the Website.
4. Contact Forms and Electronic Communications
Website contact forms are intended only for general inquiries and appointment requests. Please do not submit highly sensitive medical, psychological, financial, or emergency information through a general Website form, ordinary email, or text message.
Electronic communications can be delayed, misdirected, intercepted, or accessed by unintended recipients. Although Tampa Therapy uses reasonable safeguards, no public website or ordinary electronic communication method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Tampa Therapy may respond to an inquiry using the contact information you provide. Submitting an inquiry does not guarantee a response within a particular period, an appointment, or the availability of any specific clinician or service.
Our collection and handling of information submitted through the Website are described in our Website Privacy Policy. If you become a client, protected health information related to your care is addressed separately in Tampa Therapy’s HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices and clinical documents.
5. Geographic and Licensing Limitations
Professional services may be provided only when permitted by applicable licensing laws, professional rules, and other legal requirements. The availability of telehealth or other services depends on factors that may include the client’s physical location at the time of service, the clinician’s license and scope of practice, the nature of the requested service, and clinical appropriateness.
Information on the Website about a service does not represent that the service is legally available or clinically appropriate for every person or in every location.
6. Appointments, Fees, Insurance, and Practice Policies
Information on the Website concerning clinicians, availability, appointment times, rates, insurance, reimbursement, cancellation requirements, or other practice policies is general information and may change. Current terms applicable to professional services will be provided during scheduling or through applicable clinical and financial documents.
Any estimate of insurance benefits or potential reimbursement is not a guarantee of coverage or payment. Insurance decisions are made by the applicable insurer or benefit administrator. Unless Tampa Therapy expressly agrees otherwise in writing, clients remain responsible for charges associated with services provided to them.
Third-party platforms used for scheduling, forms, telehealth, payment processing, insurance-benefit support, or claim submission may have their own terms and privacy practices. Your use of a third-party platform may be governed by your separate agreement with that provider.
7. No Guarantee of Results
Tampa Therapy does not guarantee any particular clinical, personal, relational, legal, insurance, disability, employment, or other outcome. Testimonials, reviews, case examples, descriptions of treatment approaches, and educational content reflect individual experiences or general information and do not promise that another person will obtain the same or any particular result.
8. Intellectual Property
The Website and its content—including text, graphics, photographs, videos, logos, design elements, downloads, and other materials—are owned by Tampa Therapy or used with permission and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Tampa Therapy® and Tampa Therapy Group® are registered trademarks of Tampa Therapy Group, LLC. No license or right to use these marks is granted except with our prior written permission.
You may access and use the Website for your own lawful, personal, noncommercial purposes. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, sell, license, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, scrape, harvest, or commercially exploit Website content without prior written permission, except as permitted by law.
9. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
● Use the Website for unlawful, fraudulent, threatening, harassing, or abusive purposes;
● Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Website, its systems, accounts, data, or connected services;
● Introduce malware, harmful code, automated attacks, or other material intended to disrupt or damage the Website;
● Interfere with the Website’s operation, security, or availability;
● Misrepresent your identity or your authority to act for another person;
● Submit content that violates another person’s privacy, confidentiality, intellectual-property, or other legal rights;
● Use automated tools to scrape, extract, index, train on, or commercially reuse Website content, except as expressly authorized by Tampa Therapy or permitted by law; or
● Use the Website in a manner that could expose Tampa Therapy, its clinicians, staff, clients, or others to harm or liability.
We may restrict or terminate access to the Website when we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated or access presents a security, operational, or legal risk.
10. Third-Party Links and Services
The Website may link to websites, resources, social-media platforms, insurance or benefit tools, payment processors, scheduling systems, or other services operated by third parties. These links are provided for convenience and do not necessarily constitute an endorsement.
Tampa Therapy does not control and is not responsible for third-party content, availability, security, terms, privacy practices, products, or services. You should review the applicable terms and privacy policies before interacting with a third party or providing information to it.
11. Website Availability and Accuracy
We make reasonable efforts to keep Website information useful and current, but we do not guarantee that all content is complete, accurate, current, or free from typographical or technical errors. We may modify, suspend, withdraw, or discontinue any portion of the Website at any time without notice.
The Website may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, updates, technical problems, security concerns, events outside our control, or other causes. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Website and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. Tampa Therapy disclaims warranties concerning merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, noninfringement, accuracy, availability, security, and freedom from harmful components.
Nothing in this section disclaims or limits professional duties that cannot lawfully be disclaimed or applies to professional services governed by a separate clinical agreement.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tampa Therapy and its owners, clinicians, employees, contractors, agents, and representatives will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to use of—or inability to use—the public Website or reliance on its general content.
This limitation applies only to claims arising from the public Website and does not limit liability that cannot lawfully be limited. It does not alter duties or rights arising from professional services governed by a separate clinical agreement or applicable law.
14. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Unless applicable law requires otherwise, any legal action arising solely from use of the public Website or these Terms must be brought in a state or federal court with jurisdiction in Hillsborough County, Florida.
This section does not replace any dispute-resolution provision contained in a separate agreement governing professional services.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms periodically to reflect changes in the Website, our practices, technology, or applicable requirements. The effective date at the top of this page indicates when the Terms were most recently revised. Changes become effective when posted unless a later date is stated.
Your continued use of the Website after receiving notice of updated Terms constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
16. Severability and No Waiver
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted, and the remaining provisions will remain in effect.
Our failure to enforce a provision of these Terms is not a waiver of that provision or of our right to enforce it later.
17. Relationship to Other Policies and Agreements
These Terms apply only to use of the public Website. Our Website Privacy Policy describes how information collected through the Website is handled. These Terms do not replace or modify any informed-consent, financial, telehealth, privacy, evaluation, consulting, or other agreement governing services provided by Tampa Therapy.
